HISTELCON 2017 took place in Kyoto, Japan, in August 2017.
- It was held on 7-8 August 2017 at University of Hyogo, with an attendance of 90 registrations
- There were 31 papers in two sets of 5 sessions each plus the Opening and Closing Sessions.
- An exhibition of IEEE Japan History Milestones was included (there are 23 of them).

HISTELCON 2019 has been approved by the R8 Committee to take place in the IEEE UK and Ireland Section, probably in Glasgow, Scotland
HISTELCON 2019 is suggested to have as its principal theme, historic computers, including those designed for real-time digital signal processing.
