The goal of the Returning Mothers Conference is to encourage and support individuals in returning to the workforce. By putting up a conference that focuses on entrepreneurial training and business setup support, the conference supports individuals who want to maintain their professional lives. Additionally, it offers a very interactive platform to foster communication, creativity, and teamwork for the select group’s empowerment, engagement, and development of innovative minds. The conference discusses how to connect attendees with businesses that are eager to hire women and welcome them back into the national or international workforce. The conference deliberately provides an interface to those who want to resume their careers and have the chance to build their own businesses and exercise their creative sides.

 

Objective

IEEE Returning Mothers conference is dedicated to helping those who want to get back to work. The main goals of this conference, which is primarily for individuals looking to return to the workforce, particularly in the fields of science and engineering, are to act as an intermediate between those seeking employment and the businesses that are interested in hiring them as well as to support those seeking employment by giving them entrepreneurship training and assisting these emerging entrepreneurs in launching their own startups. In addition, RMC fosters returning citizens who want to re – launch their careers. Concisely, Returning Mothers conference aims to serve as a cooperative and interactive platform that trains participants’ minds and equips them for the future.

Vision

IEEE Returning Mothers Conference hopes to serve as a platform for helping those who are returning to the workforce by providing them with everything they need to find employment. In particular, the conference wants to boost the number of women returning to the workforce, expand the opportunities for people to start their own businesses, and encourage more employers to take on returning workers. In a nutshell, RMC envisions to improve the quality of life and be a stepping stone in these individual’s lives.

2022 Challenges and Opportunities: Women’s Roles in Digital Era

 

The “Women’s Roles in Digital Era” webinar will give insight on how professional female engineers can lead and significantly contribute to the digital era, tell us the challenges they might face and how to overcome them to succeed in the digital world. This webinar will help others to learn by example from other expert engineers and help them steadfast and continue the journey. Engineers from academia and industry will tell us about the different opportunities which will empower us to pursue further opportunities in the different areas of interest. Male engineers will show how they support women in their career and how they can be role models for others to advance women in technology.

5th International Conference on Computing, Electronics & Communications Engineering (iCCECE ’22)

After successfully organising the fourth conference of this series, International Association for Educators and Researchers (IAER), registered CIC (Community Interest Company) in England and Wales, is happy to arrange the Fifth International Conference on Computing, Electronics and Communications Engineering 2022 (iCCECE ’22), which will be held from 17 th – 18 th August, 2022, at University of Essex, Southend Campus, UK.

 

The conference will draw together researchers and developers from academia and industry. iCCECE ’22 is technically co-sponsored by the IEEE (Conference Record # 55162) and the conference content shall be submitted for inclusion in IEEE Xplore as well as other Abstracting and Indexing (A&I) databases. The Proceedings of the past iCCECE conferences are available online in IEEE Xplore. Work in progress, research papers, survey papers, application and theoretical papers, poster presentations and position papers for the workshop are all welcome.

 

Full papers, with a maximum length of eight pages, adhering to the IEEE conference paper formatting (Read Submit Paper), should be submitted using the Microsoft Conference Management Toolkit (CMT).

Seventh Event of ‘Early Career Talks’ Call for Participation

IEEE WIE UKI goal is to facilitate the recruitment and retention of women in technical disciplines globally. We envision a vibrant community of IEEE women and men collectively using their diverse talents to innovate for the benefit of humanity. IEEE WIE UK and Ireland through the Ambassador Scheme are calling women in engineering to participate in a technical, inspirational, and empowering session tagged “EARLY CAREER TALKS”. The previous events were very successful, they have attracted attention from both academia and industry. This event converges the novel (state-of-the-Art) research areas in Engineering besides establishing networking/collaboration links, exploring new research opportunities for developing interactions between Academia, Industry and Government fostering economic and social development.
 
Criteria for who should apply and how to apply:
 
This programme supports engineers from academia or industry who have been in an industry/postgraduate
position for less than 10 years. This session welcomes speakers/presenters from any part of the world who are:
 
• PhD students close to graduation and have published papers in respectful conferences/journals.
• Engineers who have participated in innovative projects.
 
When applying, send your photo saved as an image and include the following information in a one-word
document:
 
1. Area of career (academia/industry).
2. Research interests or work field (e.g Robotic systems or Harvesting Systems).
3. Talk title and what the talk will be about (100-word).
4. Speaker bio (including links and web pages).
5. Email and mobile number to contact in emergency.

Call for nominations for the Region 8 WIE Awards

The IEEE Women in Engineering awards program recognizes WIE members and WIE Affinity Groups who have made outstanding contributions to IEEE WIE, their community, and the engineering profession, through their dedication and involvement in projects or activities directed toward fulfilling the IEEE WIE goals and objectives. Women engineers are among some of the most distinguished contributors to the engineering profession.

 

In IEEE Region 8 Women in Engineering we recognize the efforts and volunteering contributions in IEEE Region 8, presenting five (5) awards.

 

In addition to the prestigious Clementina Saduwa Award, four additional Region 8 Women in Engineering Awards introduced in 2018:
