Ambassador Program

Under this initiative, each section will nominate a candidate to serve as the WIE Society Ambassador (WIE-SA) for each technical society. The WIE-SA will work closely with the section’s WIE affinity group chair to promote the core mission of WIE within their technical society. The WIE-SA will also be responsible for sharing relevant activities, feedback, and news with the Region 8 WIE Committee.

Membership Status

• IEEE member (preferably with WIE society membership, though not mandatory)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Promote WIE within the technical societies.
• Facilitate coordination between the section WIE Affinity Group and technical societies to organize joint activities.
• Conduct statistical analysis on women’s membership within the technical societies.
• Report activities to the WIE AG chair.
